I have been shocked this year ( 2010 ) to have not seen any butterflies in my garden or local wildlife areas this year . I remember as a child and well into my
teens and early adult life to see the beautiful colours of the Peacocks and Red Admerals but even the common cabage whites have dissapeared .
What has happened and can anything be done by reverse this decline although I fear it is now to late !!!!

I am longing to get, someday, a better lens camera to shoot more hummingbirds this summer. I have several shots of these visitors to the feeders in our backyard. They sure are territorial!

When I was young I lived next to a large grove of eucs planted some 200 years ago by Australian ships. Some of them were too high to see the tops of except from a great distance. In the winter time there were perhaps millions of monarchs, making the leaves flutter as the masses contended for the better perch.

Now the trees have been replaced with identical housing condos facing the waterfront, replaced about the same time as the city blaming the high, anthropogenic bacteria levels of the bay on the old derelict wooden ships that used to be anchored there for free. My home town is being overrun with newlyweds and nearlydeads, they say, and all the regular sights are diminishing.

Cheer up, though, for the high content of human bacteria makes for good growing soil in the next town over, my current place of residence. I look forward to the time when bounty can be freely given to all. Good day.

I'd wager it is a legume-producing plant with nitrogen-fixing bacteria in its roots. My own garden consists majorly of hearty legumes, all nitrogen-fixing for their bactera, to hold our sandy half-soil and support the rest of the garden's nitrate. They are very useful plants, durable and delicious for their part.

Which is the plant alongside it, the one with smaller leaves?

There are those who will argue that IF ET’s are real and are in greater harmony with God, then it is because they are more highly “created” and not more highly “evolved”. It seems incongruous that some who can not allow for evolution to be the method that God used to bring about sentient beings on earth will allow evolution to be the driving force that catapults non- human life forms into a greater harmony with the Creator.

I say the Fatima Phenomena was an alien contact, and the Popes have know this for years. Not only that, I believe the Church has known for centuries that we are a multi-dimensional universe, with many visitors, seen AND unseen.
