I’m still on a personal quest to take a personal best, if not perfect, photo of a hummingbird. I’m not there yet.
But we’ve got a few more temporary residents this year so I hope I’ll have another shot. By our best count we think we’ve got three immature male Ruby Throats and one mature male.

We’ve had a prolific number of swallowtails this summer. This new hatchling has pumped itself into shape and is drying its wings before flying off. (You can mouse over and click the image to enlarge it.)
